About the Artist:
- Denise H. Cooperman-Brachman (D. Harrison) was lucky to find her calling early in life. Surrounded by a vibrant art culture in Beverly Hills, California, she developed a deep and compelling love of the arts. As early as junior high, Denise was already an award-winning artist. In high school she was one of thirty children selected from the Los Angeles area to study at University of California, Los Angeles (“UCLA”) as part of a special painting class. Art became more than just a hobby. By her junior year, Denise was manufacturing and selling handbags and jewelry that she had designed. After high school, she pursued fine arts at University of Colorado at Boulder. Before relocating back to California, she apprenticed jewelry-making in Denver, Colorado. With her experience, she combined her love of painting, jewelry and “bling” and opened up a salon in La Jolla, California where she created “nail-art.” Recognized for her ingenuity, she was featured on a local talk show and was written up by Frank Rhodes for the San Diego Union newspaper in 1977. These experiences led her to become an Interior Designer in Philadelphia, during which she spent three decades in the furniture industry—designing, creating, and furnishing people’s lives with joy, art, and functionality. After a 30-year hiatus from painting, a talent that she enjoyed exploring during her childhood and college, Denise yearned to pick her paint brushes back up. One day she did and she has not put them down since. Denise is currently studying under the tutelage of Jim Repenning, a well-known local artist in Southern New Jersey. Many of Denise’s current works merge her experiences in the furniture industry with a certain edginess, or, as Gallery Owner Paula Farley Jackson says, “sassiness.”

One Full Set of Artistic Decorations and Stationary to match, starting at $800.00, including:
One set of two pillows, a pack of 48 assorted note cards plus your choice of either piece of art:
a 15 inches x 19 inches Print, or
an 11 inches x 14 inches Giclée Painting, or
an 18 inches x 24 inches Giclée Painting.
Pillows: The images are printed on pillows made of imported Belgian linen. The fabric is doubled with an inner lining and closes with an invisible zipper. The pillow is filled with down feathers. These particular pillows measure: 17.5 inches x 22.5 inches each.
Print: The print is printed on Archival paper and the paper size is: 15 inches x 19 inches. Each Image will vary in size within that same paper size. Archival paper is made slightly alkaline or with a neutral pH to avoid it to turn yellow and turn brittle with age. It holds ink and colors well, and will last far longer than conventional paper. The Print is ready to be framed on your own. The Print will be packaged in a poster tube.
Giclée Painting: The Giclée Painting is made on canvas which is already stretched for your own framing.
This particular oil painting which is replicated in the pillows, note cards, print and giclée painting was inspired from an antique tilted bergère chair with a lovely bouquet of flowers laid down on the chair. The lighting and shadows are exceptional in this painting. The fresh and bright colored flowers bring out the youth this chair once had.
